Ok, so I noticed that almost all of my pictures from the last few weeks are of Quinn. I am going to challenge myself to get out and find some new subjects. Here goes...Friday, June 25, 2010
Day 175- California Poppies
Ok, so I noticed that almost all of my pictures from the last few weeks are of Quinn. I am going to challenge myself to get out and find some new subjects. Here goes...
Day 174- Sea Urchin at the Gull Wing Museum
I took Kylea and the babies to a children's museum near us. I had never been but my nieces raved about it and it was super cheap so I thought, why not? The place was AWESOME! I even loved it and after what I told Mike about it, he even wants to go. We will defintiely be going back this summer.
Day 173- No More Bottles!
We have succesfully transitioned from bottles and formula to sippy cups and milk. My life is so much easier now!
Day 171- Happy Father's Day, Daddy!
Just in time for Father's Day, Quinn overnight morphed herself into quite the Daddy's girl. Who wouldn't be with a daddy like Mike?Day 170- Baby Elton
My sister-in-law had these glasses in her room and Quinn actually wore them. All I could think of was B B B Benny and the Jetts!
Day 167- Building Quinn's Library
Quinn got a lot of great books for her birthday. Now I just need a new bookshelf for her room. Day 166- Sweet Girl
Being the only brown eyed girl in the middle of six ble eyed siblings, I can say I always felt a twinge of jealousy when they would get complimented on their gorgeous eyes. I thought Quinn for sure would be a brown eyed girl like her mom and dad but she surprised us with these beauties. That jealousy I felt before is gone now.Day 165- Clean Cousins
Quinn loves watching her cousins take a bath. Well, this day she was not satisfied with just watching and was trying to climb into the tub. So with a lot of supervision, we put her in there with the girls. She loved it!
Day 164- Saying Goodbye to Grandpa and Uncle Craig
Mike's Dad and Uncle rode their motorcycles all the way out here from Lake Havasu for one day just for Quinn's party. This little girl is so lucky to have so many great people that love her.Day 163- Our Little Trooper
Quinn was totally sick for the 24 hours surrounding her birthday party. She cried through the entire birthday song. I felt terrible. But as soon as she saw this cupcake her mood pepped up a bit.Day 162- Quinn is 1!!
My sweet baby girl is one year old and officially a toddler! I think I can say this has been the shortest, quickest, toughest, best, most fulfilling year of my life. I just love this kid.Day 161- Congratulations, Sean!
My Stepbrother graduated from high school today. It reminded me of my high school graduation. Next year will be 10 years. And what a 10 years its been!
Day 159- Stepping Out with Dad
Quinn is walking very well now. At this point she walked better with help. And there was no way she was about to be carried. Needless to say, it takes us a lot longer to get out of the house these days.Day 158- Ducky Love
We were eating at Baja Fresh for dinner and these guys just kind of showed up. It was all very cute and sweet until the ducky dude got a little too affectionate...if you know what I mean. Not great dinner entertainment.
Day 157- Tired After a Long Drive
Somehow my almost one year old daughter was actually very well behaved on the drive home from Vegas. But she made sure we paid for it when we got home. Nothing like a cranky baby.
Day 156- Congratulations, Kim and Manny!
My sweet friend, Kim, got married today. She had an outdoor ceremony at one of the little chapels on the strip. It was actually kind of cool...well, not literally cool, as I said it was SO. FREAKIN. HOT. But the place was cute and she was happy. Can't ask for anything more.Day 155- Driving Through the Desert Heat
On our trip to Pahrump it was SO. FREAKIN. HOT. I seriously don't know how my mom does this.
Day 154- Naked Gage on a Hot Day
K, so I thought I would take a couple days off of the blog and I ended up taking like 20...yikes. So now I'm playing catch up. Anyway, this is what the babies wear around the house most of the time now. I love it!Thursday, June 3, 2010
Day 152- Birthday Banner

Day 151- Going Against the Grain
Today is my sister's birthday. We went to Conejo Creek Park and had a picnic dinner. There is a duck pond there and a creek. Most of the ducks were floating lazily around the pond enjoying the quiet of the evening. All except for this guy. He was walking up the creek against the flow of the water. Falling all over the place and getting washed back. I couldn't help but feel like I had met a kindred spirit.Day 150- Baby in Red
Quinn is starting to try walking. In fact, she has great balance and when she does take steps she is very steady on her feet. But crawling still seems to be her favorite method of travel. And this girl is FAST.
Day 149- Light Trails
Here I am playing with shutter speed again. I thought this one was super cool. It kind of reminds me of the beginning of Space Mountain when you go through that light tunnel. Sweet.
Day 148- Well, Hellloooo There
Chloe and Carsyn got little bug catching kits that came with these magnifying glasses. Cass and I were having fun trying to come up with some creative pictures using the magnifying glass. This by far was the coolest one.
Day 147- Smiley Boy
Little Gager is getting big...fast. He is sitting up now and scooting and he is all over the place. He seems like such a happier baby now that he can get around by himself. I love that big smile of his!Day 146- Texture
Lately, I've been really into closeup photos showing texture. I liked this one a lot because of the color and all the sap on that tree. Pretty cool.
Day 144- Daddy and the Wiggle Worm
Oh this girl never holds still anymore. And this would have been such a cute picture. Nothing like documenting reality.
Day 142- When Daddy's in Charge...
A couple days on the couch and my house is a wreck. I love my husband with all my heart but....yikes.
