Day 89- I See You!

For Christmas last year, my In-Laws bought Quinn a car walker. She used to love this thing but she absolutely despises it now. These days I use it to barricade her away from the TV, which I haven't babyproofed yet. Today she realized she could see herself in her shiny chrome rims and she stared at herself until her eyes crossed. I just love this kid.

Day 88- Rice Krispie Treat Eggs

This week, Kylea, Gage's sister, is on Spring Break from school so I was trying to think up some fun projects we could do while I had her all day. This was one of them and she had such a great time with them. Plus, Rice Krispie Treats are pretty much the most awesome things ever. The trick for the BEST RKTs? Two pinches of salt and a dash of vanilla in the melted marshmallows. You can thank me later. :o)

Day 87- Daisies on Deer Creek

I had a bit of a rough day today. I was just in a bad mood and taking it out on everyone and everything around me. I needed a break so I took a drive down PCH. One of my favorite things to do is drive up Deer Creek Road and check out this amazing view. I just love this picture. It reminds me of why I love living here. I came home in a much better mood.

Day 86- Yum

This morning Mike and Quinn and I had to run some errands and on our way out we stopped at Montezuma's. This is one of our most favorite Mexican restaurants but it is kind of out of the way and in the ghetto so we don't go very often. But, oh, it is so yummy. I had a taco and enchilada for breakfast. Doesn't get much better than that.

Day 85- Happy Birthday, Barb!

Barb is my Mother-in-Law. It was her birthday. Nobody bought her a cake so I went to the store and got this one for her. It looked so plain and simple. And it was the yummiest cake I've tasted in a long time. It made me remember why I craved cake so often when I was pregnant.

Day 84- Keys

We have a piano in our house. Kind of useless since nobody here knows how to play. But it's pretty! And it's a great place to display family pictures and seasonal decorations. And I really like dusting it.

Day 83- Follow the Rainbow

This is Gage playing with the rainbow links. Yeah...kind of lacking in inspiration lately. Hoping to get fired up next week while we have Spring Break activities around here. I am not quitting!

Day 82- The Sick Baby

Poor Quinn has double ear infections and a cold. Hence the lovely little runny nose. Funny thing is, I'm learning my baby, when sick, is actually really hyper. We haven't slept for a week. Heres hoping she gets better soon.

Day 81- Sick House

Everyone around here is sick, especially poor little Quinny. This should be a picture of my sister, Becky, for her birthday but she has the flu. Stay tuned...it will pep up around here soon.

Day 80- Happy Birthday, Matt!

This is my niece, Ren and her boyfriend, Matt. He is a pretty nice guy. They have only been together for three months. And, while I think I think it is kind of weird that he is older than me, I really like him for my niece. So he is special enough to have his own birthday picture.

Day 79- Violet

This was another one of my sister's birthday presents. Her name is Violet. She came along with her little orange brother, Spencer, but he was much too fast for me to get a picture.

Day 78- Pictures for My Sister

I took pictures of my cute little nieces for my sister's birthday and I think this was the best one. They were so excited to do this for their Mom.

Day 77- Happy Birthday, Carsyn J!

Carsyn is 6! We are in the 4 month span right now that pretty much holds every single one of my family member's birthdays. So you'll be seeing a lot of these posts.

Day 76- Happy Birthday, Mamark!

We call my Dad's mom Mamark. My Dad is Mark and I guess my older cousin started calling her "Mom Mark" when he was little and it just kind of stuck. She is 88 now. Her husband, my Granddad passed away in 2007. She seems so heartbroken now...it's almost too sad for me to be around her.

Day 75- Sleepy Boy

Poor Gage had his 6 month shot on Monday and he just hasn't felt very well since. And he just wants to be held all. the. time.

Day 74- Welcome

I'm a big corndog and try to decorate for every holiday. This is our cute Easter wreath and I love how it looks against our green door.

Day 73- Through the Glass

Mike was outside doing yardwork and Quinn was watching him through the slider like a sad little puppy. When he finally came to see her she was just so happy. But she just couldn't understand why she wasn't able to get to him. It was pretty cute watching her try to figure it out.

Day 72- Shiny Things

So I took my picture late today. But sequins look kind of cool right?

Day 71- Nailed It

Inspiration from my sister, the manicurist, again. Her rows of polish are just too cool to not take pictures of.

Day 70- Camarillo House

This is the house the founder of our town, Adolfo Camarillo, lived in when he...you know...founded the town. It's a pretty cool place. There is also a huge and awesome big red barn on the property. This place is where everything happens in Camarillo. Events of all kinds. We have been to a few BEAUTIFUL weddings at this place. Camarillo is pretty proud of it's roots.

Day 69- Night Watcher

So, when I said we moved into Mike's Grandma's house I forgot to mention that it is pretty much 70's Heaven. Luckily I am a fan of all (well...most. Minus the crazy shiny green floral wallpaper. Yikes.) things retro. This lamp was in the master bedroom when we came in and did a bit of a makeover on the house. At first, I didn't want this guy hanging out in my bedroom at all. But now...I don't know. I kind of like him.

Day 68- St. Mary Magdalen

This church sits in Old Town Camarillo not far from where I live. Its so beautiful! In the next few weeks I plan to take some pictures around my town and show you why its so special. Because we kind of like it here.

Day 67- Attempts at Self-Feeding

So we weren't successful this time, but she'll get it. And look how cute she is when she's all messy!

Day 66- Happy 8th Birthday, Chloe Rae!

My niece Chloe is 8 years old now. It doesn't seem like that long ago my family and I were pacing the halls of the hospital early one morning and waiting for the news after my sister's c-section. My sister had low amniotic fluid her whole pregnancy and things weren't looking good for Chloe. Her kidneys were dilated and they thought at best she may have deformed limbs. We were so scared. And then at 7:00 am on March 7, 2002, we met this perfect girl.

Day 65- Handsome HUsband

It's not often that he sits still and actually poses for a picture. Oh but when he does....look at this good lookin' guy!

Day 64- The New Decor

It seems these days, since having a baby, my house has become what I like to call, "Babyland". There are toys of every size, shape and color in just about every corner of this house. Last year, I liked things to look just perfect, no mess and no clutter. Now it's different. A new kind of perfect.

Day 63- Our Quinn

She hasn't made an appearance in my project since Day 49 so I thought it was about time. I can't believe I was able to go that long. I think I could do this whole project on her, but that wouldn't be nearly as exciting. But I just love this kid.

Day 62- Street Lights on a Rainy Night

Mike and I had to go to a memorial service for a friend's mom and out of nowhere it started raining. A lot. It was a sad night. It seems like a lot of people are dying right now. I know people are always dying but I feel like I am hearing about it a lot more. So sad. As we were driving home, I liked how the street lights looked on the wet windshield. Kind of reminds me of a painting.

Day 61- Looking into the Light

This is the chandelier in our dining room. I wish I could figure out how to get a picture of the way the light reflects in color on the crystals.

Day 60- Parsley and Lemons

I was at my friends house this night and admiring all the color in her kitchen. Plus there is just something so lovely about fresh produce.

Day 59- Sun Glowing Through Leaves

Since I have been carrying my camera around constantly these days, I feel like I am really starting to notice the way light hits things. I saw this tree and whipped out the camera. The leaves were just glowing.

Day 58- Z for zzzzzzz

This is my sister's little puggle, Lacey. She looks so sweet and adorable here but she is really actually crazy and steals Quinn's pacifiers and sucks on them like a baby. Crazy dog. But I love her because we share a birthday.

Day 57- Y for Yellow

My friends have this lamp I love and I wanted to see if I could get a cool picture of it. I just love the texture in this picture and how it kind of looks like flames.

Day 56- X for...Nothing in This Photo

X was a tough one for me, so instead I got this cool picture of fog in the valley below my house. It was so cool.

Day 55- W for Wet

These are the bricks on my back patio. Yeah...real interesting. It was a crappy day.

Monday, March 1, 2010

Day 54- V for Veins

This is the ivy in my front yard. I just love the bright green color. Even though, as a whole it sort of freaks me out because I fear there may be rats and snakes and lizards in there, I love this one pretty, green, heart-shaped leaf.

Day 53- U for Unique

This is my wedding band and engagement ring. Before we were engaged, I was in the mall with my sister and walked past a jewelry store and this caught my eye. I tried it on and fell in love. Rose gold, pink diamonds, a little bit of a twist, everything about it was so unique and special. I told my sister this was the one I wanted. And guess what? A few months later, Mike proposed to me with this very ring. Thats why we love sisters.

Day 52- T for Tree House

On an excursion into my backyard, I found this pretty little bird house. One of the cool things about moving into a house that was owned by Mike's Grandparents is that it seems like I am always finding these little treasures.

Day 51- S for Stone Steps

In Malibu, there is this beautiful park called Solstice Canyon. I went there and found these steps. I loved them. They just remind me of something out of a fairytale.

Day 50- R for RAWR!

Little Miss Chloe showing a bit of her personality...

Day 49- Q for Quinn

Or maybe I should say Quinn's Evil Twin. My sweet little girl just recently learned how to throw a fit and it seems like we are seeing this face a little more often these days.

Day 48- P for Paradise

Another thing that will probably show up on my project a lot, flowers. We have so many beautiful flowers in our yard and they make such pretty pictures. This Bird of Paradise watches over our backyard very proudly.

Day 47- O for Organic

I usually make Quinn's food but once I started watching Gage I needed something a bit more convenient. This brand is good. Organic and pretty simple. Only the best for my baby girl.

Day 46- N for Nice Day

On February 15th this year it was 78 degrees where I live. What a great day. I loved how this winter tree looked against the warm spring sky.

Day 45- M for Marriage

This was Valentine's Day, and the first day in more than a year that I could fit my wedding band on. It didn't fit the next day. Very mysterious. But I was very proud to wear it for that day.

Day 44- L for Love

This is my 7 year old niece Chloe kissing on Quinn. Quinn has a lot of cousins that love her so very much. Chloe said after this picture, "I feel so lucky to have Quinn as my cousin!"

Day 43- K for Kitty

This is our Samson. He is about 8 years old. Mike and I adopted him when we first moved in together. He is such a sweet guy but he is also a big pain in my butt.

Day 42- Sorry J, You Got Skipped for Shan's Birthday

My BFF had her 27th birthday today. Also, I couldn't for the life of me find something good that started with J. But look at this pretty girl! She would beat J any day!

Day 41- I for Insane

Quinn after a day of pigtails. I love this crazy girl!

Day 40- H for Husband

Here's the big guy, my sweet cuddly teddy bear. I'm crazy nuts over him. He is an awesome husband and a fabulous daddy. Quinn and I are pretty lucky to have him. But he thinks he is pretty lucky too.
